To Trixi

Tomorrow afternoon, my parents are putting Trixi, our 15-year-old dog, down to rest. She has always been a puppy at heart. Only in the last few years has she started to act her age, and the past several months have been especially hard for her. As much as I have known this day was coming, and am glad she won't suffer anymore, it still hurts to say goodbye.

I've always loved this comic, but it's especially fitting today. RIP
